What's more romantic than sunrises and sunsets at the beach....

The Route: Take the Citywide Ferry from Pier 11 Wall Street to Rockaway Beach. From the ferry landing, jump on the free shuttle bus to Rockaway Beach Blvd and Beach 93rd Street or ride your bikes along the free shuttle route.
Enjoy the shops along Rockaway Beach Blvd by visiting Off Season for some of Rockaway's favorite natural beauty supplies created by Goldies, Share a sweet dessert from Fat Cardinal Bakery inside of Uncle Louie G's, grab a coffee from Rockaway Roasters, pop in for a glass of wine at The Rock or Sayra's. Try on some amazing vintage wares at Zingara Vintage (she sometimes has bouquets flowers- wink wink) De La Mer is right next door and offers whimsical caftans and some extremely sexy bathing suits.
Head to the beach with your new wares and relax between Beach 87th Street and Beach 97th Street. For ample beach turf, sit in front of the surf beaches around Beach 90th Street and you'll be a bit more secluded from the rest of the beach goers.
The 97th Street Concession offers up a nice selection of dining options for lunch and dinner. Lobster Rolls from the The Lobster Joint , smoked brisket sandwiches along with some southern favorites from Breezy's BBQ, shish kabobs from Uma's and sweet treats from CitySticks.
If you are more in the mood for a burger and some beers, hit up Rippers at Beach 86th Street concession.
From Rippers, head back over to Rockaway Beach Blvd to grab a bottle of twist-off wine from Ship to Shore - the shop also hosts wine tasting and classes. Grab some light snacks from Key Foods, and a few baked goods from Rockaway Beach Bakery.
Head to the 59th Street Marina to check into your Truck-A-Float and enjoy serene views of the bay, incoming fishing boats and picture perfect sunsets.
If you are lucky enough to be visiting on an Edgemere Farm dinner evening, do not miss this opportunity to support a local farm and featured local chef. It is truly a magical and very romantic experience.
Enjoy freshly ground coffee from your floating pod and your treats from Rockaway Beach Bakery bayside -or- ride bikes up to B67th street to take in an early morning beach sunrise, morning waves or a quiet walk on the beach.
